General Secretary
The Administrative Office
is headed by a General Secretary who, in compliance with the instructions
of the President of the Republic, ensures the performance of all tasks
required in connection with exercising the function and competencies
of President of the Republic. The General Secretary is the authorising
officer for expenditures from budget funds for the work of the President
of the Republic and, in compliance with the law, has the rights and
duties of director of a republican administrative organ. The General
Secretary has a deputy.
Counsellors to the President
of the Republic
Counsellors provide the
President of the Republic with opinions and proposals within their sphere
of work in connection with exercising the function and competencies
of President of the Republic, prepare drafts and proposals of presidential
Acts, material for appearances of the President, and draft responses
for the President on various proposals, letters and applications, and
perform other professional work. The President has counsellors for constitutional-legal
affairs, for defence, for foreign affairs and for the economy, and he
appoints other counsellors for other spheres or tasks as required.
Office of the President of the
Republic
The Office is a service
within the Administrative Office, which performs professional and organisational
tasks for the President of the Republic. The work of the Office is organised
and headed by a Head of Office.
Services within the Administrative
Office
There is a security service
of the President of the Republic within the Administrative Office, whose
head is directly responsible for its work to the President of the Republic.
It co-operates with the relevant services of the Ministry of Internal
Affairs and the Ministry of Defence in carrying out its tasks.
Professional and technical work
in the Administrative Office is organised within services for information
and documentation, for pardons and applications, and for general matters.
