President Pahor hosts President Van der Bellen at an informal friendly dinner at Strmol Castle

At the invitation of the President of the Republic of Slovenia, Borut Pahor, the President of Austria, Dr Alexander Van der Bellen, is today and tomorrow on an official visit to the Republic of Slovenia. This evening, President Pahor hosted President Van der Bellen at an informal friendly dinner at Strmol Castle.

Prior to the event, the Austrian President conferred on the Slovenian President the Grand Star, the Decoration of Honour for Services to the Republic of Austria, for his exceptional efforts to deepen bilateral relations between Austria and Slovenia and his contribution to enhancing the ties between both nations in the European spirit. President Pahor conferred on the President of Austria, Dr Alexander Van der Bellen, the highest state decoration of the Republic of Slovenia, the Order for Exceptional Merit, for his personal contribution to the deepening of friendly relations between the Republic of Austria and the Republic of Slovenia and enhancing overall cooperation between both countries for a joint European future based on common values.
