Slovenian President Borut Pahor: the Commission for the Prevention of Corruption needs to be respected

The President of the Republic of Slovenia, Borut Pahor, today at noon attended the 56th commemoration ceremony “Along the Partisan Trails of Jelovica”, held on the occasion of the 71st anniversary of the battle of Dražgoše, where he laid a wreath at the memorial and paid homage to the fallen soldiers.
On the margins of the ceremony, the President of the Republic delivered a statement to the press, in which he also commented on the current political situation in the country.
In his introduction, President Pahor explained that he has been intensively consulting the leading representatives of the Slovenian political sphere during recent days to assess the situation which has developed since the publication of the report by the Commission for the Prevention of Corruption, an institution of the rule of law that needs to be respected.
