President of Slovenia Borut Pahor: 'I have gladly kept my promise to be with you on this festive day'

Today at noon, President Pahor visited the Residential Home for the Elderly in Fužine and helped staff serve lunch to the residents. President Pahor thus kept the promise he had given to the residents during the presidential election campaign, when he joined the staff of the Residential Home for the Elderly for one working day within the project 'TOGETHER – Let us encourage each other'.

While he was doing his job serving lunch to the residents, some of them challenged him by saying that if elected, he would certainly not do it anymore, although it would be even more gratifying to them. President Pahor, however, promised them that he would come back and serve the lunch on the Christmas or New Year's Day, depending on his workload. So today, to their great delight, he again joined the staff and residents of the Residential Home for the Elderly, rejoicing with them on Christmas Day and taking the opportunity to wish them all the best in the New Year.
