The President of the Republic of Slovenia, Borut Pahor, held a meeting today with the President of the Football Association of Slovenia (FAS), Aleksander Čeferin, the Slovenian coach of the national football team, Srečko Katanec, and the Secretary General, Aleš Zavrl. President Pahor took this opportunity to express his support to the newly elected head coach, who is returning to the helm of the Slovenian football team.
In a relaxed atmosphere, President Borut Pahor, who is an ardent supporter of the Slovenian football team, touched upon the qualifications for the World Cup 2014 in Brazil. The success of the national team in the qualifying matches would certainly be a powerful inspiration not only to football fans, but also to others who do not regularly follow the football sport.
President Pahor promised to attend the qualifying matches for the World Cup 2014, as he believes that the Slovenian football team will qualify for the World Cup.
