 | President of the Republic of Slovenia, Dr Danilo Türk, attended the final game of the European Wheelchair Basketball Championship between the national teams of France and Bosnia and Herzegovina. He also attended the closing ceremony of the championship.
President of the Republic stressed the importance of disability sport, which puts into practise the values of unity, harmony and solidarity.
In his speech at the closing ceremony, President mentioned that in the year of the Olympic Games, we are all living for the Olympic and Paralympic Games. He commended the organisers on the well-prepared championship and all the competitors on their participation.
At the closing ceremony, the best teams - the French team won - were presented with cups by the President of the Republic of Slovenia, Dr Danilo Türk, and the Vice-President of the Sports Federation for the Disabled of Slovenia, Mr Jo¾e Okorn. |
