Slovenian President visits European Central Bank

The President of the Republic of Slovenia, Dr Danilo Türk, has visited the European Central Bank where he met with the ECB President Jean-Claude Trichet and Lorenzo Bini Smaghi, a member of the ECB's Executive Board.

The talks focused on the economic situation in the Eurozone and the current reform of the regulation of the financial system. President Türk took note of the economic developments in the Eurozone and expectations for 2010. The ECB management also introduced to him efforts undertaken by the bank to provide financial stability during the implementation of exit strategies.
