The President of the Republic of Slovenia welcomes the President of the Croatian Parliament

The President of the Republic of Slovenia, Dr Danilo Türk, welcomed the President of the Croatian Parliament, Mr Luka Bebiĉ. The discussion partners assessed the bilateral relations between the Republic of Slovenia and the Republic of Croatia and agreed that the relations are developing in the positive direction.

President Türk especially emphasised the significance of direct cooperation between Members of Parliament and parliamentary bodies in the current stage of Croatian preparation for EU membership. Strengthening communication between Slovenia and Croatia on this level would be sensible also with the purpose of identifying joint interests, which will be worth investing our efforts in within the European Union.
