The President of the Republic receives the Prime Minister of the Slovak Republic

The President of the Republic of Slovenia Dr. Danilo receives the Prime Minister of the Slovak Republic Dr. Iveta Radičova, while on an official visit to the Republic of Slovenia (photo: Nebojša Tejić/STA)The President of the Republic of Slovenia Dr. Danilo Türk received the Prime Minister of the Slovak Republic Dr. Iveta Radičova, who was on an official visit to the Republic of Slovenia.

In their discussion, the Slovenian President and the Slovak Prime Minister paid special attention to current issues and perspectives of the European Union.

They both stressed the importance of linking practical measures, dictated by the present situation to the long-term vision of the EU, which includes also enlargement of the EU to include the area of South-Eastern and Eastern Europe.

They also discussed the challenges faced by the Eurozone and the solutions needed to be implemented in this respect. They pledged greater responsibility of the states and common efforts to strengthen this area.
