President of the Republic of Slovenia receives President of the National Assembly of Montenegro

The President of the Republic of Slovenia, Danilo Türk, today received the President of the National Assembly of Montenegro, Ranko Krivokapiĉ. The statesmen agreed that relations between their two countries were excellent. They evaluated the experience Montenegro had gained in the period following its independence and discussed the views on resolving the issue of Kosovo advocated by Montenegro. The President of the Republic, Dr Türk, pointed out the importance of their experience as valuable input which the international community should take into consideration. Talks also focused on Montenegro’s moving closer to joining the Euro-Atlantic alliances. The President of the Republic expressed Slovenia’s support for these efforts.
