Slovenian President receives a delegation of the Russian Constitutional Court

The President of the Republic of Slovenia, Danilo Türk, received a delegation of the Constitutional Court of the Russian Federation, led by the Chairman of the Court, Valery Zorkin, and including the Deputy Chairman, Sergey Mavrin, and a judge, Sergey Knyazev. The delegation paid this official visit to Slovenia at the invitation of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Slovenia. The Chairman of the Slovenian Constitutional Court, Ernest Petriè, also attended the meeting.

During the talks, President Türk stressed the importance of constitutionality and effective solutions for issues related to the interpretation and implementation of constitutional principles, which is particularly difficult in the present complex economic and social circumstances. The topics of the talks included various issues regarding constitutional arrangements and the implementation of the European Convention of Human Rights. President Türk wished the guests a successful visit in Slovenia.
