After watching the performance or sonorous invocation entitled Vrnivec (“Returner”), the President said that this was a completely new art experience and a new adventure for him. In this context, he recalled the artistic concept of the Gesamtkunstwerk or total artwork, meaning a work of art within which different types of technique, content or artistic forms and use of technologies are integrated in an interesting way.

According to the President, this approach to art is very important, as it shows how art is infinite and how it will lead us forward. The President stressed that at this time, in Slovenia, there are reductionistic interpretations not only of art but also of the economy and of existence itself. In his view, it is extraordinary important that art shows its alternatives and tells all of us that life is much richer than what is imposed on us in our everyday life and what we understand as a lack of the kingdom of freedom. Art is the kingdom of freedom, underlined the President, adding that the event showed just that.

The President expressed his belief that the new cultural centre will contribute to the cultural enrichment of our capital city and the community as a whole by connecting us with art as a global message, and thus making all of us all the richer. With a stroke of the triangle, the President then officially opened the Vodnikova Domačija centre for sonorous arts.
