President Türk starts official visit to the Russian Federation

The President of the Republic of Slovenia, Dr Danilo Türk, and his wife, Barbara Mikliè Türk, arrived on an official visit to the Russian Federation at the invitation of the President of the Russian Federation, Dr Dmitry Medvedev. After an official reception with military honours at Moscow’s Vnukovo International Airport, President Türk and his wife, Barbara Mikliè Türk, hosted a reception for representatives of the Slovenian community in Moscow at the premises of the Embassy of the Republic of Slovenia in the Russian Federation.

Tomorrow, President Danilo Türk will be received by his host, the President of the Russian Federation, Dr Dimitry Medvedev and, during his official visit, a meeting will be held with the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, the St. Petersburg’s Governor and Mayor, Valentina Matviyenko, the Governor of the Leningrad Region, Valery Serdjukov and the Governor of the Samara Region, Vladimir Artyakov.

During his official visit to the Russian Federation, President Türk is accompanied by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Samuel ®bogar, the Minister of Finance, Dr Franc Kri¾aniè, the Minister of the Economy, Darja Radiæ, the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Technology, Gregor Golobiè, and the Minister of Health, Dorijan Maru¹iè, as well as an economic delegation that includes 110 businessmen from the 90 strongest Slovenian companies.
