President opens new premises of Odelo Slovenija

The President of the Republic, Dr Danilo Türk, has officially opened the new production and logistics premises of Odelo Slovenija, a company involved in the development, production and marketing of automotive parts. In his opening address, President Türk said that he was paying a visit to Odelo Slovenija for the second time in recent months and added that during his first visit to the company, he had been fully convinced that excellence was personified by the business and production culture of this company.

President Türk pointed out that at the opening of the new premises of the company today, there were flags displayed from the Federal Republic of Germany, the Republic of Turkey and the European Union in addition to the flag of the Republic of Slovenia. The Slovenian President stressed that this was highly symbolic, adding that two basic values were highlighted, namely the pursuit of technological and business excellence and the process of global integration.

The Slovenian President continued that during the visit of Turkish Prime Minister Erdoğan, they both talked about the success attained by Odelo Slovenija and about the symbolism represented by this success. They agreed that this was a prime example of Slovenian–Turkish cooperation which was symbolically very important irrespective of its scope, since it linked excellence with a global dimension.

These are significant messages conveying a core of our present concepts of future development, underlined the Slovenian President. He explained that development in the future would increasingly depend on the quality of development of our industries and the effectiveness of the integration into global processes. The President added that both concepts were interconnected, as quality may increase in the context of global cooperation while the latter also provides a guarantee for quality.

According to the Slovenian President, the company understands how important it is that the people involved in this process are highly motivated and work with great enthusiasm. Therefore the President concluded his address by extending a special greeting to the company’s workers and underlined that their work was very important for the entire country and for international integration. He congratulated them on the opening of their new premises and wished them every success in the future.
