 | The President of the Republic of Slovenia, Dr Danilo Türk, received the Dean of the Holy See's College of Cardinals, Dr Angelo Sodano, on the occasion of Slovenia’s Statehood Day and the 20th anniversary of its independence.
Türk and Solano spoke about the importance that moral values have for social cohesion and for social progress, about the major changes that Europe has experienced over the past 20 years, and about the cooperation between the Slovenia and the Roman Catholic Church.
They agreed that efforts for the common good in society were vital for the strengthening of much needed solidarity and social cohesion, including intergenerational solidarity. |
