According to President Türk's press release after the meeting, Slovenia has positive examples of foreign investments that are not well known among the public, as well as experience that should be further developed. He particularly emphasised the need for companies to join together in clusters, to be able to act in a coordinated way, attracting foreign investors and entering foreign markets.

According to Dr Peter Kraljiè, an expert advisor to the FDI Summit 2010, Slovenia has several advantages that those within the country are often not sufficiently aware of. Although the country has been increasingly open to foreign investment, to date it has not attracted enough direct greenfield investments, he added.

In his view, Slovenia should create a strong concept in this field and have a strategic approach towards foreign investors, which would enable it to act as a bridge for companies coming from big and emerging markets and aiming to gain penetration in the European market. President Türk, meanwhile, called for development of high-quality and well-prepared projects that could involve foreign investors in fields such as green technologies.
