President Türk conveyed condolences to US President Obama

Dr Danilo Türk, President of the Republic of Slovenia, conveyed his deep condolences to Barack Obama, President of the United States of America, folowing the killing of the US Ambassador to Libya Christopher Stevens and three Embassy staff members.

"I would like to express heartfelt condolences on behalf of the Slovenian people and on my own behalf. Please convey our sympathies to the families and friends of the victims. I condemn in strongest terms this outrageous attack against the US diplomatic mission in Benghazi for which there can be no justification. The attacks against US and other diplomatic missions we have witnessed in Libya and elsewhere in the region are unacceptable and must be prevented," wrote President Türk in his letter of condolence.
