 Dr Türk and Mr Gurría moreover agreed to jointly organise a special roundtable in Slovenia on 29 November 2010, the main topic being new methods of measuring social development. An invitation to participate in this roundtable was also extended to Nobel Prize winner and economist Joseph Stiglitz. President Türk emphasised that the experience which Slovenia and, specifically, its Statistical Office have at their disposal can significantly contribute to the development of current discussions on measuring all GDP factors and other elements of social progress. |
