Türk congratulates Putin on his presidential victory

The President of the Republic of Slovenia, Dr Danilo Türk, congratulated the newly-elected President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, and wished him every success in taking on the important responsibilities of the office.

"Allow me to take this opportunity to express my satisfaction with relations between our two countries and to thank you for the contribution you have made to this end," wrote President Turk in his letter of congratulations. "I look forward to cooperating with you in our efforts to foster even closer relations between our two countries and constructive cooperation in addressing global challenges."
