Slovenian and Slovak Presidents in Posočje and Port of Koper

(photo: Tina Kosec/STA)The President of the Republic of Slovenia, Dr Danilo Türk, along with the President of the Slovak Republic, Dr Ivan Gašparovič, and his wife, Silvia Gašparovič, on the last day of the President Ivan Gašparovič’s official visit, met with the Mayor of the Municipality of Kobarid, Robert Kavčič, and visited the Kobarid Museum. They also met with the Mayor of the Municipality of Tolmin, Uroš Brežan, and visited Javorca Memorial Church of the Holy Spirit. They went on to visit the Loče pri Zatolminu Military Cemetery where President Gašparovič laid a wreath at the monument to the Austro-Hungarian soldiers who had fallen in World War I. In the afternoon they met with the management of the Port of Koper (Luka Koper) and made a tour of the port. The delegation of Slovak businessmen accompanying President Gašparovič on his official visit to Slovenia has paid a visit to the Port of Koper already in the morning.
