At the end of the roundtable discussion, President Türk and President Josipović addressed the business representatives from both countries. In his statement to the press, President Türk highlighted that the joint investment in the Tuhelj thermal spa symbolises a new level of economic cooperation between Slovenia and Croatia, and opens up new opportunities for the development of economic cooperation, tourism development and, at the same time, enriching life in the region. According to the Slovenian President, Slovenia is eagerly awaiting Croatia's accession to the European Union. President Türk also emphasised that we should start now with the implementation of our joint projects, which will serve to enhance cohesion in the regions on both sides of the border and become an essential component in EU cohesion policy.

Croatian President Josipović added that the investment in the Tuhelj thermal spa is the best proof of the excellent relations that exist between Croatia and Slovenia and a clear indicator of how cross-border cooperation will look like in the future. He stressed that Slovenia is a great friend and good neighbour with whom Croatia will share EU membership in the future, and that this event will undoubtedly serve as a new incentive for further cross-border cooperation. The Croatian President also expressed his firm belief that the two countries will show an even greater interest in cooperation in the future, and that this project is only the first of many major joint investments in this region.
