Letters of Credence presented by the Ambassador of Yemen

The President of the Republic of Slovenia, Dr Janez Drnovšek, today received the Letters of Credence from the Ambassador of Yemen, Dr Ahmed Alwan Mulhi Al-Alwani.

The Ambassador informed President Drnovšek on efforts for the democratisation and modernization of his country, taking the EU as an example in different areas and trying to bring in line the traditional values of Yemenis with requirements and standards of contemporary democratic societies.

The President of the Republic of Slovenia, Dr Drnovšek expressed an interest in development and bilateral relations of the countries as well as the support for the Republic of Yemen in developing the cooperation with the EU.
