The President receives Sloboda prize

The President of the Republic of Slovenia, Dr Janez Drnovšek today received the
Sloboda (Liberty) prize awarded by the International Peace Center Sarajevo.
The International Peace Center Sarajevo has awarded its traditional
Sloboda prize to Dr Janez Drnovšek on the occasion of the International Day of Human Rights, for his extraordinary contribution to humanism, fight for human rights and freedom in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Europe and the world.
Ibrahim Spahić, president of the International Peace Center Sarajevo, today personally presented the
Sloboda prize to the President of the Republic of Slovenia, Dr Janez Drnovšek. According to Mr Spahić, the President of the Republic of Slovenia has been awarded this prize for his significant contribution to a different and more equitable world in which each individual will enjoy his or her rights, freedom and peace.
