President congratulates the newly elected US President

The President of the Republic of Slovenia, Dr Janez Drnovšek, sent a letter of congratulations to the newly elected President of the United States of America, George W. Bush. Dr Drnovšek wished the American President every success in the discharge of his highly responsible duties. On this occasion he also expressed his strong belief that close and friendly relations between Slovenia and the US will be further strengthened during George Bush’s second term in office.
