Proposals Received for Constitutional Court Judges

In response to two invitations by the President of the Republic of Slovenia, Dr Janez Drnovšek, to submit proposals for the potential candidates for four vacant posts of the judges of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Slovenia published in the Uradni list RS (Official Gazette of the Republic of Slovenia) No 44/2002 of 21 May 2007, the Office of the President of the Republic received twelve proposals in due time.

The registered candidates listed in alphabetical order are as follows:

1. Aleš Butala, Ljubljana;

2. Dr Mitja Deisinger, Ljubljana, proposed by the Supreme Court of the Republic of Slovenia;

3. M.Sc. Darinka Dekleva Marguč, Ljubljana;

4. Dr Mile Dolenc, Ljubljana;

5. Dr Dunja Jadek Pensa, Trzin, proposed by the Higher Court of Ljubljana;

6. Dr Bojan Kukec, Vrhnika, supported by the Bar Association Of Slovenia;

7. Janez Lukač, Polšnik;

8. M. Sc. Miroslav Mozetič, Medvode;

9. Janez Obreza, Cerknica;

10. M. Sc. Kristina Ožbolt, Ljubljana, proposed by the National Association of Taxpayers and recommended by the Administrative Department of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Slovenia, Faculty of Law, University of Maribor and the Association of Tax Consultants of Slovenia;

11. M. Sc. Jadranka Sovdat, Medvode;

12. Dr Boštjan Zalar, Ljubljana proposed by the Faculty of Post-Graduate Studies and European Studies and by the Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Ljubljana.
