President of the Republic receives the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China for a farewell visit

The President of the Republic of Slovenia, Dr. Janez Drnovšek, today received the Chinese Ambassador, Mr. Wang Fuyuan, for a farewell visit.
Slovenia’s President Dr. Drnovšek thanked the Ambassador for his devoted work and excellent cooperation. During his mandate, the Slovene - Chinese relations deepened in all relevant areas including contacts at highest political level. China is experiencing great progress and the people in Slovenia, as well as all around the world, follow its development with special attention wishing that the biggest state in the world regarding the size of its population would continue to walk on the path of balanced economic growth, social stability and ecologic equilibrium.
As President Drnovšek stressed it, China has great responsibility and an important role in deciding about global issues of international relevance.
Ambassador Wang thanked the President for his attention and pointed out that for him as an experienced diplomat working in Slovenia was very interesting and pleasant.
