Letters of Credence from the Ambassador of Korea

The President of the Republic of Slovenia, Dr Janez Drnovšek, today received the Letters of Credence from the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea, Mr Kim Sung-hwan.
President Drnovšek and Ambassador Kim Sung-hwan discussed the situation in the region, in particular the North Korean tests. They found economic relations becoming closer, with open opportunities to enhance economic co-operation. The Ambassador was pleased to note that ties between Slovenia and Korea were strengthening in culture and education as well, and expressed his commitment to promote co-operation in all areas.
At the end of the talks, Ambassador Sung-hwan reiterated the invitation to President Drnovšek to pay a visit to Korea, and President Drnovšek wished him a pleasant stay in Slovenia and every success in his endeavours to develop co-operation between the two countries.
