President Drnovšek leaves the World Economic Forum

The President of the Republic of Slovenia, Dr Janez Drnovšek, left Davos, Switzerland, after participating in this year’s meeting of the World Economic Forum, which is entitled “Building Trust”. This year’s annual meeting has been marked by current issues relating to Iraq and transatlantic relations, as President Drnovšek pointed out during his meetings and appearances.
Before leaving Davos, the President met some representatives of large global corporations who were attending the World Economic Forum. In his meeting with Louis Schweitzer, chairman and CEO of Renault, he discussed Renault’s prospects of development in Slovenia. In his meeting with Jorgen Mads Clausen, CEO of the Danish company Danfoss, one of the largest foreign investors in Slovenia, he discussed an initiative to set up a network of young entrepreneurs. Mr Clausen who is in charge of the initiative expressed an interest in extending the network to Slovenia.
