Slovenian President recives Prime Minister of Luxembourg

President Drnovšek today received the Prime Minister of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, Jean-Claude Juncker, who is paying an official visit to Slovenia.

Talks between the President and Prime Minister focused on the current political situation in the EU, especially the unresolved issues concerning the future constitution. Mr Jancker spoke of the need to adopt a constitution soon while stressing the significant role that Spain and Poland must play within that process. President Drnovšek agreed that the situation was far from simple and said the debate on the next financial perspective and the next European Parliament elections would add to tensions.
