President of the Republic of Slovenia, Dr Janez Drnovšek, visited the Municipality of Braslovče where he was received by Mayor Marko Balant, Deputy Mayor Vinko Drča, Deputy Mayor Rudi Sedošek and Deputy Commander of the Civil Protection for West Styria Darko But. He was presented the after-effects of the Thursday's calamity and the relief measures.
Later, the President of the Republic visited the scene of the disaster that had struck the Golob family. The locals informed him about their temporary accommodation and the President expressed his appreciation for the solidarity and commitment of all those taking part in the rehabilitation efforts. He called on the Preskar family who is giving the temporary accommodation to the Golob family.
Afterwards, the President of the Republic visited the house of the Deleja family at Rečica ob Savinji who suffer serious flood damage.
