President Drnovšek receives European Commissioner for External Relations and European Neighbourhood Policy

The President of the Republic of Slovenia, Dr Janez Drnovšek, today received the European Commissioner for External Relations and European Neighbourhood Policy, Benita Ferrero- Waldner, who was attending the OSCE Ministerial Council. They discussed the co-operation of the European Union and its neighbouring countries, and the European perspective of these countries, which is the essential element of stability and security.

Dr Drnovšek explained his plan for the solution of the status of Kosovo to Mrs Ferrero-Waldner in more detail. A significant focus of the meeting was also relations in Serbia and Montenegro.
