Letters of Credence presented by the Ambassador of Albania

The President of the Republic of Slovenia, Dr. Janez Drnovšek, today received the Letters of Credence from the Ambassador of Albania, Valter Ibrahimi, based in Vienna.
Dr Drnovšek and Ambassador Ibrahimi shared the opinion that the relations between the countries were good and they even strengthened in recent years. The Ambassador of Albania expressed his thanks to the President of Slovenia for the support in Stabilization and Accession Agreement signed in June this year and pending ratification by the National Assembly. The President of the Republic of Slovenia, Dr Janez Drnovšek, agreed that signing of the Agreement was an important step in the process of accession to the EU.
The Ambassador of Albania continued by pointing out that in the economic field there were still many opportunities to strengthen the cooperation regarding trade in goods and services as well as in the field of investment. President Drnovšek was convinced that both countries would further their cooperation.
During his audience with President Drnovšek, Ambassador Ibrahimi renewed an open invitation of the President of Albania; President Drnovšek wished Ambassador Ibrahimi a lot of success in his work.
