Reception of a delegation of the parliamentary group of the Christian-Social Union (CSU) of Bavaria in the German Federal Parliament

The President of the Republic of Slovenia, Dr Janez Drnovšek, has today received a delegation of the parliamentary group of the Christian-Social Union (CSU) of Bavaria in the German Federal Parliament. During its visit to Slovenia, the delegation was chaired by Dr Peter Ramsauer, Chairperson of the CSU Parliamentary Fraction. Along with him, also participating in the discussion with the Slovenian President were Gerda Hasselfeldt, Vice-President of the German Federal Parliament, and two of its members, Michael Glos and Horst Seehofer.
The President of the Republic Dr Drnovšek welcomed the decision of the Bavarian party to the effect that its representatives visited Slovenia, as the links connecting our country with Bavaria are particularly strong. This applies to all areas of cooperation. During his meeting with the representatives of CSU, Dr Drnovšek brought up the issue of settling the status of Kosovo and that of the European perspective of all the countries in the territory of the Western Balkans.
