President Drnovšek receives the Greek Ambassador

The President of the Republic of Slovenia, Dr Janez Drnovšek, today received the Ambassador of the Hellenic Republic, Ioannis Boukaouris, for a farewell visit.

The two statesmen characterised relations between Slovenia and Greece as good and agreed that cooperation between the two countries has been strengthening, which applies particularly to economic relations. They also discussed multilateral issues, and the Ambassador declared support for the initiative of the Slovenian President to address the crisis in Darfur.

President Drnovšek expressed his thanks to the departing Ambassador for his contribution to the development of good relations between the two countries and wished him well in his further career.
