President of the Republic at the meeting of "Enooki" Photographers Association

The President of the Republic Janez Drnovšek attended today the traditional meeting of Slovenia's Photographers and Photo Journalists Association "Enooki", which included a selling exposition of photographs whose gain will be used for humanitarian purposes.

For the past six years, the Enooki Association has been bringing together photographers from different Slovene media each first Monday in December, giving them an opportunity to review the past year's work in an informal atmosphere. This year, they gathered also in order to organize a selling exhibition of photographs of their members in the Čarli Pub on Petkovškovo nabrežje in Ljubljana. The proceeds from the selling exhibition will be donated to a child in need.

President Drnovšek chose the photograph "Lama" by Voranc Vogel. It will be sold, together will all other photographs, at the final auction on 8 February 2007.

In conclusion, Denis Sarkič, one of the organizers of the event, declared: "Mr President, by accepting the invitation to attend this meeting you have become an honourable member of our Enooki Association", and President Janez Drnovšek replied that he would come to the next meeting with a photograph of his own.
