Dr Helmut Kohl receives Slovenia's highest decoration

Today in Berlin, the former Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany, Dr Helmut Kohl, received Slovenia's highest decoration: the Order for Exceptional Services in the international diplomatic field. On the authority of the President of the Republic of Slovenia, Dr Janez Drnovšek, the decoration was handed over by the Euro MP Lojze Peterle. The decoration was conferred upon Dr Kohl for his exceptional contribution to the international recognition of Slovenia and his all-round support for the development and strengthening of relations between the Republic of Slovenia and the Federal Republic of Germany during his chancellorship.
