Križnar on his way to Slovenia

The Office of the President of the Republic of Slovenia has received information today that, after completing necessary formalities in the prison and at the Regional Authorities in Al Fashir, Mr Tomo Križnar is on his way back home. Accompanied by the President Drnovsek’s special envoy Mr Hamdija Blekic, Mr Križnar boarded a plane to Kartum today at 14:00 CET from where he would continue his journey to Ljubljana.

The Ambassador of the Republic of Sudan in Vienna, HE Mr Sayed Galal Eldin, called the Office of the President of the Republic of Slovenia earlier today and expressed his satisfaction over the fact that Mr Križnar was released by an order of clemency of the Sudan President Omar Hasan Ahmad Al-Bashir. Personal efforts of the President Drnovšek concerning his envoy were of crucial importance, according to the Ambassador.
