Farewell visit by the German Ambassador

The President of the Republic of Slovenia, Dr Janez Drnovšek, today received the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany, Mr Hans J. Peters, whose term of office in Slovenia has come to an end.

Dr Drnovšek and Mr Peters agreed that good bilateral relations and contacts in all areas were intensifying. In the past year particularly, there were numerous visits at a high political level. In 2008, both countries will hold the EU presidency and, in their shared opinion, the relevant preparations are proceeding in a concerted way.
