Festive Greetings

In the run up to Christmas, President of Slovenia, Dr Janez Drnovšek has received seasonal greetings from a number of foreign statesmen and women and heads of international organisations.

The good wishes have come from, to name a few, George W Bush, President of the United States, Tony blair, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero, Prime Minister of Spain, Hu Jintao, President of China, Mary McAleese, President of Ireland, and Olafur Ragnar Grimsson, President of Iceland. Dr Drnovšek has also received greetings from Kofi Annan, Secretary General of the UN, and Japp de Hoop Scheffer, Secretary General of Nato.
