THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A GLOBAL ETHICAL COLLEGIUM

The President of the Republic, as one of the initiators, founders and patrons of BledNet, attended a two-day working weekend with the founders of BledNet, an international intellectual initiative deliberating on global economic, social, political and, in particular, ethical challenges.

Following the successful October meeting in Bled individual members met in New York in November and in Paris in December 2001. At this latest meeting in Bled the participants concerted all expressions of support for the appeal to be presented at the World Economic Forum in New York and at the World Social Forum in Porto Alegre. The idea of a Global Ethcial Collegium, first developed at Bled, is now receiving clear institutional outlines and organisational solutions.
