CONGRATULATIONS FOR BUSH, LETTER OF THANKS TO CLINTON

"During the last decade we have witnessed profound changes in the world which has now become more stable, economically advanced, and in which people enjoy a higher level of rights and freedoms. In your capacity as President of the United States of America, you have left an indelible mark, both as a statesman and as a personality, on the progress of humankind”, President Kucan writes in his letter of thanks sent to former US President William J. Clinton with the congratulations for George W. Bush. President Kucan also underlined the high level of understanding, the strong friendship and partnership between the two countries confirmed by the US President's historic visit to Slovenia. The visit was a symbolic expression of high support to those who are striving for a peacuful, stable and democratic Europe, President Kucan added.
