The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia and Ministry of Information Society will award the best business web site in Slovenia

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GZS) has, in collaboration of Ministry of Information Society and the Gospodarski vestnik magazine (GZ), published a call for applications for the Netko 2004 awards on 24 May 2004. The Netko award is given for best business web sites. The major criteria is the quality of Internet presentation and different means for accomplishing its mission and for promoting the Internet use in general.

The award pursues the following goals:
  • To raise the quality of business web sites,
  • To increase the Internet use, and
  • To enlarge trust and satisfaction level of Internet users.

The competing categories of web sites are:
  • Internet shopping,
  • On-line presentation of a trade mark,
  • Integral presentation of businesses and other institutions, and
  • Internet portals (media, information portals, activity portals).

Golden and silver awards will be granted on the basis of a special jury evaluation and decision. Applicants may participate at the tender in several different categories. The winners and finalists will receive the Netko sign, which can be included into their web sites. The Ministry of Information Society will evaluate the applications in cooperation with representatives of GZS and GZ and award the best projects. Applications should be sent in by 31 July 2004.
